31. 05. 2022 Presentation of the book Sava and Jolanda in Postojna On the former Youth Day of 25 May 2022 we presented, in the fully packed hall of the Notranjska Museum Postojna, a book about the first two Slovenian and Yugoslav mariners: Sava Kaluža  from Postojna (although born in Ilirska Bistrica) and Jolanda Gruden (married Mažer) from Nabrežina.

16. 02. 2022 The First National Workshop on the Project East Asian Collection in Slovenia - VAZ 2 On February 10, 2022, the First National Workshop on the Project East Asian Collection in Slovenia - VAZ 2, entitled East Asian Maritime Artefacts and Oral History took place at the Maritime Museum in Piran.

10. 02. 2022 Inter-museum exhibition Women's stories at the Celje Regional Museum You are kindly invited to visit the exhibition at the Celje Regional Museum. The exhibition will be on display until 31 March 2021.

17. 12. 2021 The opening of the exhibiton: The Secrets of Fizine With the exhibition The Secrets of Fizine we would like to draw your attention to the importance of underwater archaeological research, the discoveries made and their interpretation, the great development in terms of techniques and methods of documentation, the protection of archaeological monuments and of cultural heritage in general. Several thousand small finds were discovered at Fizine, which are now kept in the Maritime Museum Piran and some of them are also on display in the permanent exhibition. Many of them may seem somewhat insignificant or mediocre, but with their origins on the distant shores of the Mediterranean, they show time and again that it is the sea that connects and provides a great window on a larger world.
