Invitation 15. 10. 2026 Olive harvesting at Tona’s House at Sv. Peter Due to rain being forecast for the next few days, the "Olive Picking at Tona's House" event at Sv. Peter — initially scheduled for Saturday, 24 October 2026 — is postponed to Saturday, 7 November. However, the Tona's House Ethnological Collection will remain open for visitors on October 24, as scheduled, regardless of the weather.

The Maritime Museum Piran kindly invites you to olive harvesting, a presentation and degustation of crushed olives, as well as a free tour of Tona’s House Ethnological Collection.

30. 09. 2026 European Heritage Days and Cultural Heritage Week 2026 in the Maritime museum Piran This year, the Maritime Museum "Sergej Mašera" Piran is once again joining the European Heritage Days and Cultural Heritage Week programme, taking place from 26 September to 10 October, under the theme “Heritage in the Vortex of Change – Opportunities and Challenges.”
Two events will take place at Monfort:
7 October at 5 pm – Closing event of the Salt Workers’ Meetings 2026 project
9 October at 5 pm – Opening of the inter-museum exhibition Games of My Childhood.

22. 09. 2026 Rich Natural and Cultural Coastal Heritage in Slovenski vodni krog The work and research of the Maritime Museum Piran are primarily dedicated to maritime heritage, but this time the sea is explored from a broader perspective. The new season of the TV programme Slovenski vodni krog, broadcast on RTV Slovenija, brings together the Maritime Museum Piran, the Marine Biology Station Piran – National Institute of Biology, the Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Nature Conservation, the Department of Geology at the University of Ljubljana, and the construction company Žurbi.
