The Culinary in the salt pans - bread baking

On August 17th, the third event of the fourth edition of the "The Culinary in the salt pans" project took place at the Museum of Salt making.
In the enchanting setting of the museum's wood-fired oven, the aroma of freshly baked bread wafted through the air once again, skilfully prepared by Anita Dessardo and her grandson Domen Dessardo from Lucija.

During the event, the entire bread production process was presented, from dough preparation to baking. Members of the Salt pans Family shared intriguing facts and details about the traditional bread baking in the salt pans of yesteryears.

Even the youngest visitors had the opportunity to shape small loaves using authentic bread dough and, following the ancient salt pans tradition, imprint them with bread stamps or distinct symbols.

The event was further enlivened by a musical performance by the group Füze Muze & J'MMMa that functions under the auspices of the Muzofil Association and KUD Erta.

As the event concluded, all attendees could enjoy the warm and fragrant bread freshly baked from the wood-fired oven at the Museum of Salt making.
