Discourse: A proposal for the Reconstruction of Salt-fields at Fontanigge
The landscape architect Zala Dimc will present the findings from her MSc thesis. The thesis deals with the question of the possible compatibility of salt production and nature conservation in the southern part of the Sečovlje saltpans, called Fontanigge. It is an area with a more than 700-year tradition of salt production as in mediaeval times. The in-depth study presents a possible option on how to revitalise this now-abandoned area.
Concluding part with a banquet and presentation of the continuation of the project.
In the year 2024, the European Heritage Days (https://dekd.zvkds.si/sl/dekd/dekd-tkd) are dedicated to the heritage of cultural routes, networks and connections.
