The culinary in the salt pans - third event of the project
On Wednesday, August 4th 2021, the Museum of salt-making in the Fontanigge area in the Salt Pans Natural Park hosted the third event as part of the Saltworks Culinary Project, organized by the Maritime Museum "Sergej Mašera" Piran with the Institute for Cultural Heritage Protection and the Piran Self-governing Italian Community. We prepared and presented the traditional cooking of minestra / soup.
The process of making the vegetable soup was demonstrated by Bruno and Rozana Bonin with the collaboration of the group “La Famea dei salinai”. We also made bobici and barley soup, which visitors were also able to try.
Tamara Lindič and Matjaž Kljun, conservator of ZVKDS OE Piran led the visitors through the collection of the Museum of Saltworks, Veronika Bjelica, curator of the Museum of the Sea "Sergej Masera" Piran, led a creative workshop of painting salt drawings, and Franco Juri presented the traveling photographic exhibition "The sea in your eyes, Images of life, places and knowledge of the Upper Adriatic", created by the association "Lacus Timavi" from Monfalcone.
