Workshop: “Tablet Weaving Tryout – Create a Christmas Gift”
Tablet weaving is a fascinating method of interlacing threads that dates back to prehistoric times. This technique is mainly used to create strong and durable ribbons, with decorations of any complexity, which can be used in various ways.
Visitors will be able to watch a weaving demonstration, discover the connection between this technique and our local heritage, and try their hand at weaving by creating a bracelet, pendant, or bookmark as a gift for a friend or for themselves.
Maruša Bizjak, the workshop author, and curator Veronika Bjelica will be with you.
