RESCUED FROM OBLIVION, Maritime and Art Collection of Splošna plovba,
by the author Duška Žitko.
 

Thursday 1 December 2022 at 11 am in the Infocenter of the exhibition area of the Maritime museum of Piran - ex warehouse of salt Monfort.

 

The extensive catalogue of the Maritime and Art Collection of Splošna plovba offers a comprehensive overview of ship models and the many works of art, maritime objects and protocol gifts that make up this collection. Under the expert supervision of the Maritime Museum (curator Duška Žitko), the collection was previously on display in Villa San Marco in Portorož. Today, it is kept in the depots of Splošna plovba and partially exhibited in the building of Splošna plovba, in the Maritime Administration in Koper and at the temporary guest exhibition of the Maritime Museum "6 ships of Splošna plovba". This is the first comprehensive catalogue of this remarkable collection. Duška Žitko, Boris Vidmar, Jože Utenkar and Franco Juri will speak at the presentation.
