INVITATION TO THE SECOND #BUTMUZ PROJECT PROMOTIONAL EVENT

On Sunday, 17 October 2021 between 11 am and 5 pm the project #BUTMUZ and its results will be presented in the warehouse for salt Grando within the Day of the Municipality of Piran. At 11 am the music group Vruja will hold a concert of traditional Istrian music.

The Maritime Museum - Museo del mare Piran-Pirano is a partner in the Network and Virtualization of Rural Boutique Museums Project (#BUTMUZ), which is co-financed within the framework of the Local Development Strategy "LAS of Istria" with the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)and the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology. The project is led by the Municipality of Izola, the project partners are the IRRIS Institute for Research, Development and Strategies of Culture, Society and the Environment, the Izola Tourist Association and the Municipality of Ankaran.

 

The main purpose of the project is to integrate boutique museums engaged in natural and cultural heritage of the Slovenian Istria and, with the aid of digitalization, to establish a virtual museum as well as to create a series of tourist itineraries that should increase the attractiveness of Slovenian Istria and bring it closer to all generations. The main result of the project is the virtual museum #BUTMUZ, where more than 300 artefacts of cultural and natural heritage as well as locations will be presented though descriptions, photo and video material.
