Information for visitors

Dear users, this notice is to inform you that the Maritime Museum Piran, with all its units, will be closed to visitors from Friday, March 13th 2020 until cancellation. Only museum staff and authorized persons who are carrying out emergency maintenance work are allowed to enter the museum premises. This measure was adopted in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Culture to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic.

 

 

During the Coronavirus outbreak, we offer you virtual tours (click here) of our dislocated collections: the Museum of Salt Making and the Tona House. The footage was created as part of the Central European Interreg Come-in project!

 

We have prepared some new material also for our younger visitors. There are a variety of tasks in the fun corner (click here) and you can also browse through the periodical Svetilnik (Lighthouse) (click here).
