Fragments from the Cultural Bazaar

On Thursday, 12 October 2023, the Cultural Bazaar in the Region 2023, a national biennial specialist training, took place in Koper.

The motive of the training in the region is to provide for a greater accessibility of quality programmes in the field of cultural-artistic education and to present various topics with an emphasis on cooperation partnership between various organizations at several levels of society. At the Cultural Bazaar, the Maritime Museum also took part.

 

At the Museum Workshops held in the Provincial Museum Koper, Maruša Bizjak and Ajda Purger presented the Maritime Museum’s pedagogical programmes.

 

During the round table titled "How to bring the museum closer to secondary schools", Dr Nadja Terčon presented the effective pedagogical practices that have been implemented continuously for more than two decades at the Maritime Museum Piran and are the result of exemplary cooperation between the Maritime Museum and GEPŠ - Secondary, Electro and Maritime School Piran.

 

At the stand, set up at Taverna by the Association of Museums of Slovenia, Leonora Kortnik presented the Maritime Museum’s capacities.

 

The event was organized by: the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Education, the Institute of Education of the Republic of Slovenia, and the Municipality of Koper. The executive producer was the Koper Theatre, the co-producer was the Cankar Centre Ljubljana. The coordinator for the sphere of museum institutions was Tjaša Miklavčič from the Regional Museum Koper.
