Culture in the square

The presentation of the new trilingual publication by the Maritime Museum "El Tartini in piassa" – A story about the monument, was held on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 11 am in Piran. The event commemorated the upcoming Prešeren Day, the Slovene Culture Day and the beginning of the annual program "Tartini 250" on the 250th anniversary of the death of maestro Giuseppe Tartini. The author of the book, Duška Žitko, spoke about Tartini, his monument, the sculptor Dal Zotto and the Square, named after Tartini, in front of a crowd of people of Piran and other guests who gathered  in front of the monument erected to the great maestro born in this very town. Later on, Duška Žitko led the visitors through the renovated museum collection in Tartini's birth house. The book can be purchased at the reception of the Maritime Museum on Saturday, February 8th, on the occasion of the Slovene Culture Day, at a 25% discount.
