Perforated little ceramic balls – fishing net weights

 

The texture is soft, with rare impurities: very fine white particles, a small amount of fine reddish particles of ceramic material 0.2-1.5 mm in size.

The surface is powdery pitted.

 

Colour: 10YR 7/4 (very pale brown) – 7.5YR 7/4 (pink to reddish yellow).

 

Diameter: 2,6–4,4 cm; thickness: 2,0–3,7 cm; weight: 6,46–41,80 g.

Dated to: 1st century BC and 1st century AD.
