Kantharos , ceramic vessel, pot, reconstructed from several fragments, spherical in shape with two handles rising gently above the slightly outwardly widened mouth. On the belly of the vessel is a decoration of six (three on each side between the handles) plastic nipples. The base is rounded. The Kantharos as a type of vessel is associated with Dionysus in the ancient Greek world. This type of vessel was a popular form of drinking vessel in the Caput Adriae area in the Bronze and Early Iron Ages. Similar vessels, although slightly different, have been found at St Barbara, belonging to Kastelir at Jelari on the Milje peninsula, and there are also known examples from Ormož.
