Belo zlato krilatega leva (White gold of a winged lion)
Razvoj severnojadranskih solin v obdobju Beneške republike (Development of the northern Adriatic salt pans during the Venetian Republic)
The purpose of this work is to present development of the northern Adriatic salt pans during the Venetian Republic, with an emphasis on the Piran salt pans. It describes in detail the system of salt extraction, maintenance and construction of salt fields, production and storage of salt. In the past, salt was highly significant raw material, for it was the main preservative in the preparation and storage of various foodstuffs (meat, fish, vegetable, cheese, etc.), but also used in livestock farming, medicine, leather industry, glassmaking and the like. Salt was produced in all possible places and from all possible sources: mines, salt lakes, springs and sea.

Il porto di Pirano dall'antico mandracchio all'aspetto odierno
One of the most important studies carried out by the experts of the Maritime Museum Piran, which included various museum works, is historical development of the Port of Piran. In 1993, the first exhibition on this topic was opened and the catalogue "The Port of Piran from the ancient mandracchio to its current appearance" released. As virtually no information was available in those years on the research topic, the main task was to review archival material in the archives of Piran, Venice, Koper and Trieste.

Usidrali smo se na morje (We Anchored Ourselves at Sea)
Establishment of Slovenian Maritime Enterprise in the 1945-1958 Period
The present doctoral dissertation is a result of awareness that much is already known about maritime enterprise as a branch of economy, about the ties of Slovenian coastal area with its hinterland and the broader Northern Adriatic region, and particularly about the ties of man with the sea and the role of an individual as a bearer of maritime events, development and mentality per separate topics that are spatially limited, but that they should be logically and mutually compared, linked, perceived and evaluated, and understood as unique phenomena in combination with elements that existed elsewhere as well.
