Free Workshop – European Days of Conservation-Restoration 2026

https://www.ecco-eu.org/european-day-of-conservation-restoration/european-days-cr-2026/

In cooperation with JSKD Izola, this hands-on workshop offers an opportunity for participants of all ages to get a closer look at the tools used by conservator-restorers in their everyday practice. The workshop will also include a practical activity: participants will search for the matching fragments of a broken ceramic vessel, piece them together and adhere them to reconstruct the object.

The workshop is part of the intergenerational creative workshop programme “Autumn Creative Escape 2026”, organised by JSKD Izola. It will take place on Wednesday, 14 October 2026, from 5:00 to 6:30 pm at the Sončna Hall in Izola (Ulica Giordano Bruno 8, 6310 Izola).

The workshop will be led by Ajda Purger, Senior Conservator-Restorer at the “Sergej Mašera” Maritime Museum Piran.

Participation is free of charge. Places are limited. Registration is required:
