TARTINI – SCHOOL PROGRAMMES
TARTINI – SCHOOL PROGRAMMES provide a creative, innovative path of professional cooperation and further training for violin teachers and musical education for students and pupils, as well as learning about the life and work of the great violinist Giuseppe Tartini from Piran at the same time.
Execution of the programmes on the premises of the Tartini House poses a respectful and deep admiration for Tartini's legacy with a special dimension of Tartini's pedagogical work.

Vildana Repše
The academically trained violinist Vildana Repše has left a lasting mark on the development of Slovenian music education. Shortly after graduating, she stepped on a creative path as a member of symphony and chamber orchestras, with her teaching career starting in 1982. Along with unconditional dedication to her teaching profession, she carries on with enriching her world of musical experience and knowledge by actively playing in the medical orchestra Camerata medica, which she has led as concertmaster since 2010, and in the Coastal Chamber Orchestra since 2020.
Vidana is fulfilling her exceptional talent for pedagogical work in the first private music school in our country, which she founded and named the Tartini Music Studio together with her husband Vlado Repše in 1990. Her students are the winners of first prizes at competitions held in Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Croatia and Italy. She continues to share her professional and functional knowledge as well as expertise at domestic and international seminars and congresses; in 2012, she devised a programme for corporate additional training of violin teachers. She is the author of textbooks and other didactic literature and a respected jury member of evaluation committees at Slovenian and international competitions.
Vildana Repše is the recipient of the Fran Gerbič Lifetime Achievement Award, the highest prize in the field of music education in Slovenia. At the Giuseppe Tartini 2026 competition, she received a special award for her pedagogical work and the exceptional achievements of her students.
