Mullet in the nets
You are kindly invited to the opening of a new temporary exhibition,
Mullet in the nets - traditional mullet fishing and watercolours of Adriatic fish,
which will take place on Tuesday 16th June, 2026, at 11 a.m.
at the Monfort exhibition site at Portorož, Obala 8.
The exhibition, designed by Nadja Terčon and Veronika Bjelica, presents the tradition of mullet fishing in the Bay of Piran and the typology of fishing nets. The exhibition narratives are enriched with watercolours created by Luigi Divari from Venice, conceived on the basis of decades of research into the history of Adriatic fishing.
