International Museum Day 2026 at the Maritime Museum “Sergej Mašera” Piran

May 18 is the International Museum Day, celebrated around the world.

Slovenian museums will mostly mark it this year on Sunday, May 17, 2026. On this day, we invite you to visit the Maritime Museum in Piran and Monfort exhibition ground. The entry is free.

Maritime Museum »Sergej Mašera« Piran: 9 am to 5 pm

Monfort exhibition ground: 10 am to 6 pm

 

This year’s International Museum Day is held under the theme “Museums Uniting a Divided World”, which highlights museums as spaces for dialogue, inclusion, and connection in times of social divisions.
