Maritime Heritage Festival – Escale à Sète

The Maritime Museum “Sergej Mašera” Piran will participate in the international maritime festival Escale à Sète, taking place from March 31 to April 6 in the city of Sète, France.

As part of the Slovenian delegation, we will participate alongside representatives of the Koper Regional Museum, the Municipality of Koper, the Municipality of Piran, the company SOLINE Pridelava soli d.o.o., the Italian Community “Giuseppe Tartini”, Mandolinistico Capodistriano, and Vruja.

 

At the Slovenian pavilion, we will present the cultural heritage of Istria under the title Sal de la Vie – Slovenie. At the exhibition, the Maritime Museum will present salt-making, fishing, and shipbuilding, while the Regional Museum of

 

Koper will present selected segments of traditional music and gastronomy, as well as Paul Valéry, who links the Koper area with the city of Sète in France.

 

We will also take part in several round tables, workshops, and other program activities.
