Admiral and Japanese Folding Screens

You are kindly invited to the opening of the new temporary exhibition

 

Grand Admiral Anton Haus and a Japanese Folding Screen, which is to take place on Friday, 20 March 2026 at 11 a.m., at the Maritime Museum Piran.

The exhibition features Grand Admiral and Commander of the Austro-Hungarian Navy Anton Haus (Tolmin, 1851–Pula, 1917). Concurrently, the story and significance of the screen brought by him from Japan in 1902 will be revealed.
