Opening of the Exhibition A Hundred Facts About Kajuh

On Wednesday, May 15th, we opened a guest exhibition at the Monfort Gallery in Portorož, brought by Villa Mayer from the Municipality of Šoštanj. The exhibition, titled A Hundred Facts About Kajuh, Written in Green Ink, was created by Špela Poles, head of Villa Mayer, and illustrator and designer Rok Poles.

 

The exhibition creatively and visually presents one hundred short illustrated entries highlighting key moments from the life and literary work of the poet and fallen partisan, Karel Destovnik – Kajuh.

 

The opening, held in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, was enriched by a recital of Kajuh’s poetry performed by Iris Tuljak and Domen Dolinar, students of the Piran Grammar School (GEPŠ).

 

The exhibition will remain on display until June 15th, 2025. You are warmly invited to visit!
