A bronze plaque imparted by the 430th Naval Division of the Slovenian Army to the Maritime Museum Piran

In honour of the 30th anniversary of the maritime branch and the naval unit of the Slovenian Army, the representatives of the Maritime Museum "Sergej Mašera" Piran, specifically Franco Juri, Dr. Nadja Terčon and Bogdana Marinac, attended, at the invitation of the Second Class Commodore Bogomir Tomažič, a formal ceremony, which took place in the presence of distinguished guests on Monday, January 30, 2023, in the Koper Theatre. The official speaker was Mr Marjan Šarec, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Slovenia.

Numerous awards were presented at the ceremony. Among the recipients was the "Sergej Mašera" Maritime Museum in Piran. Its Director, Franco Juri, received the recognition - a bronze plaque - for several years of constructive cooperation and contribution to the education of military sailors. The Maritime Museum thanks the Naval Division for the notable recognition, congratulates it on its jubilee and wishes it a calm sea.
