Students of landscape architecture learn the craft of salt making

The Maritime Museum of Piran and the Sečovlje Salina Nature Park are hosting a group of students of the Biotechnical Faculty-Department of Landscape Architecture in Ljubljana at the Museum of salt making (Sečovlje-Fontanigge) from 20th to 26st July.

 

In cooperation with Sečovlje Salina Nature Park, Soline, Pridelava soli d.o.o. and the Institute for the Protection of the Cultural Heritage Piran, the students will acquire basic knowledge about the work in the salt pans in Fontanigge. They will help the saltworker and learn about the cultural and natural characteristics of the salt work heritage.
