Model of the Zagreb destroyer
Destroyers were fast multipurpose military ships, most often equipped with cannons as well as anti-submarine, anti-torpedo and anti-sabotage armament. The Zagreb belonged to the Navy of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. On 17 April 1941, she was sunk by the serving officers Lieutenant Commanders Sergej Mašera and Milan Spasič, to prevent her falling into the hands of the Italian Navy.
