Škevin David

David Škevin (Betina, 29 June 1927 )

 

He learned his profession after the war in Zadar, where he stayed to complete his study at the Industrial School, specializing in shipbuilding. The students repaired old barges there and built new ones. Škevin then returned to his native Betina and worked there for a couple of years. In 1955 he arrived at Piran with a group of shipbuilders, who responded to the call by the Piran Shipyard's Director, and stayed there. After retiring, he lived in Piran. His main occupation was ship modelling.
