The submarine P2 Nebojša was part of the Royal Yugoslav Navy and was constructed in 1928 in Newcastle, Great Britain. It reached 72 metres in length and could be submerged for up to a depth of 60 metres. Its underwater speed was 10.5 knots and could reach a speed of 17.5 knots above water level, it carried a 45-member crew. It was equipped with 6 torpedo tubes and had a cannon on the top for fighting on the surface. During the capitulation of Yugoslavia at the beginning of World War II, the renewed crew fled to the Allied forces in North Africa and collaborated with them until the end of the war. The submarine was returned to Yugoslavia after the war. In 1948, it was renovated and renamed P-801 Tara to be used for educational purposes until 1956 when it ceased sailing.
