A Sea of Anecdotes

The Maritime Museum "Sergej Mašera" Piran collects diaries, recollections and other written sources and spoken accounts about the lives of mariners, shipbuilders, fishermen, saltworkers, sail boatmen, olive growers and others as well as about their culture. Parts of this are also funny occurrences, anecdotes, proverbs, sayings and jokes that speak about their lives, their attitude towards themselves and others, as well as others about them. We are interested in stories from both the past and present. Hence, we urge all those who are in any way associated with the sea, their acquaintances and relatives to send us humorous incidents and anecdotes to our e-mail address, by post or call us by phone. Photos, postcards and drawings with such contents will be most welcome as well.
